Day One: Made it to Armenia

Here I am in Armenia after a month long journey in Colombia. It took about 8 hours to get here by bus  from Bogota.

When I arrived, Gloria´s son a Birthday party with a bunch of friends from High School. After a glass of Chicha Morada and a plate of chicken wings with carrots and fresh fries we headed home.

Yeah..... that´s the home where I am going to spend at least one or two or maybe many more months of volunteering.

We are about 15 minutes by car from Armenia and 1km away from the nearest bus. This morning I went for a run and have to say - it pretty here. Due to the holiday (of who knows what) we spent the whole day at home talking, drinking coffee and working on setting up the blog.

Tomorrow starts the real work which I will be writing about tomorrow.

  1. Marina, I am impressed: you travel without knowing where you gonna land, and you land exactly where you would have wanted to land... You're magic, you're lead by your heart, you're on the right way, congratulations :-)
